The Royal Geographical Society - Hong Kong runs a major Schools Outreach Programme, through which it hosts educational events at schools throughout Hong Kong.

During the most recent academic year 2017-18, the RGS organised 35 School Outreach talks to local and international schools.  

Speakers included:  Sir Ranulph Fiennes, the world's greatest explorer;  General Sir Peter Wall, Chief of the UK General Staff;  Stephanie Case, an ultra-runner; Dave Cornthwaite, the holder of Nine World Records;  Adam Walker, swimmer of the "The Seven Great Swims"; and Michael Pitts, one of the world’s foremost cameramen, having won two Emmy awards for his work with Sir David Attenborough.

During that year, the School’s Outreach Programme reached over 5,000 students .
