The Kowloon Masjid and Islamic Centre
Lunch at Africa Centre

The Kowloon Masjid and Islamic Centre or Kowloon Mosque is one of five main mosques in Hong Kong. Located in the Tsim Sha Tsui area, beside Kowloon Park, this mosque is currently the largest in Hong Kong. The mosque holds five prayers daily and is capable of accommodating up to 3,500 people.

The Field Trip starts with a talk introducing the central themes and core principles of Islam.  This includes geo-political events and its current practice in Hong Kong and Africa.

There is then a tour of Kowloon Mosque, a spectacular building at the edge of Kowloon Park.  This includes interacting with members of Hong Kong’s Muslim community, understanding Islamic practices and viewing the mosque’s fine architectural features.

The trip concludes with house-cooked buffet lunch at the nearby Africa Centre, including homemade pineapple and ginger drinks, and beers.

Cost: $480 for Members and $580 for their non-member guests including lunch and beers

Detailed joining instructions are going to be sent in advance of the tour.
