“Expedition Icewatch” is a multi-year Hong Kong initiative that aims to record meticulously the impact of ice disappearing on the native communities surrounding the Arctic circle. For this purpose, the magnificent Sila Inua has been built, a specially-designed state of the art Arctic polar research ship.

Tour the ship with Expedition Leader, Captain Pierre Sauvadet, to see the amazing accommodation and equipment on board, designed to allow scientists to conduct research in the Arctic Ocean for months on end, even when frozen in sea ice.

Expedition Icewatch is going to allow various rotating expedition and scientific teams to explore Artic regions that are evolving at a breakneck pace.  These team are going to study the native communities in three distinct locations over the course of three years. 

Cost:
$280 for Members & $380 for members' guests including wines, drinks and snacks
Includes boarding from a small boat on Causeway Bay pier at 2:30 pm
