In a challenging academic period, over 400 Hong Kong students from local and international schools sent in more than 500 entries - exceeding last year's already impressive participation.
Furthermore, this year's submissions were of exceptionally high quality, as confirmed by our panel of internationally acclaimed judges who picked the winners.
This year we recognised four types of winning entries:
- the winner of each category, as the “Category Winners”
- some exceptional entries that were awarded a prize by the judges, as the “Judge’s Choices”
- the “People’s Choice” award, which you all voted on
- outstanding submissions that were mentioned by the judges as “Commended”
Please do view the winning entries which are being displayed virtually on the website:

The winners have already attended a Prize Giving Ceremony at the Hong Kong Club, where they were awarded financial prizes and RGS-HK student benefits. The winners range from just 7 years old to 21 years and come from numerous different educational institutions in Hong Kong.
I would like to thank, on behalf of the Board of RGS-HK, the amazing efforts of Victor Paraschiv, the Competition Director, and Adam Tait, the Assistant Director, who's inspiration and tireless efforts made the competition the success it has been this year.
For you, the Members, we would like to say a big thank you, because this competition and its awards are made possible by your participation in our events and your generous bids for the prizes we auction during our dinners. Thank you for your continuous support.
Best regards,
