On his travels, Anthony has seen some amazing sights including, on a trip to Inner Mongolia, a steam train thunder across the frozen grassland. On that same trip, he met a horseman who changed his life. It was this man who he captured with his herd that lead to Anthony winning National Geographic’s Travel Photographer of the Year award in 2016. His winning picture “Winter Horseman” is now being exhibited in various National Geographic Fine Art Galleries.
He has now found himself photographing polar bears in Manitoba, Canada at -37C and even leading his first overseas workshop. He was also the primary photographer for Crystal AirCruises on their maiden voyage with their Boeing 757, leading a new form of travel as he went to the Maasai Mara. Anthony Lau explores all of this and more in his talk and subsequent Q&A.
